JVC issues forms for De beers lawsuit

Has informed its members through media promotion and letters

The Jewelers Vigilance Committee (JVC), has informed the trade that it can obtain a form to complain under the De Beers Indirect Purchaser/Reseller class action lawsuit, through its website www.jvclegal.org. Those who wish to file a claim will have until May 19, 2008 to submit the form, which must be postmarked on or before May 19, 2008. The form covers gem-quality diamonds only.

JVC has also begun a media campaign upon the permission of the court to notify consumer class members about making a claim. The campaign ends in February 2008. Also a written notice was also sent out to approximately 50,000 entities covered under the lawsuit.
