ALROSA announces updated information about the rescue operation

ALROSA announced that as per information from the Emergency Response Center of the Emergencies Ministry of Russia as of August 16, 5:15 pm local time, mire rescue operations on level – 210 continue. Another shift of 13 mine rescuers and 63 miners of Mirny Mining and Processing Division has started working. Yesterday, on 16th, a helicopter worked for 2 hours to organize a controlled discharge of water accumulated in the open pit. The danger of uncontrolled discharge of water into Mir underground mine has been removed making it possible to continue the rescue operation on level – 210.
