The enthusiasm of Richard Breedan has finally taken him to become a part of the board at Zale Corp. He is being accompanied by his business partner James M. Cotter to the board, taking the total number of Zale’s Board of directors to eight.

Breedan had been repeatedly purchasing Zale shares and increasing his stake from 15.9% to 17.7%, to now 18.1% despite the Zale planning to close down 60 of its stores within three months. Breedan has remained as the chairman of the US Securities and Exchange Commission in the past, while James Cotter is a founding partner of Breedan Capital Management.
