Q3 Gold output of Newcrest shot up by 6%

Strong increase in production levels at Cadia Hill and Cracow

Newcrest Mining Ltd, Australia, reported an increase in its gold output increased by 6 per cent to 390,096 ounces for the three months that ended March 31, 2007.

Strong increase in production levels at Cadia Hill and Cracow, at 54 per cent and 24 per cent, respectively have been noticed .

From July 2006 to March 31 2007 the company’s gold production was 1.15 million ounces.
