IDE summarises 6th IDWI in a video

This year’s edition of IDWI included the opening of the International Tender Center among others

The Israel Diamond Exchange has summarised happenings of the recently concluded International Diamond Week in Israel into a video. The event took place between February 13-16, 2016 and saw hundreds of exhibitors and buyers attending.

Highlights of the IDWI included, the festive opening ceremony attended by Tourism Minister Yariv Levin, leaders of the diamond industry and international guests, guest of honour Alrosa President Andrei Zharkov who spoke to the audience in Hebrew about rough and polished tenders, Alrosa President speaking at a meeting attended by IDE President Yoram Dvash and Israel Diamond Manufacturers Association President Kobi Korn on Alrosa’s interest “in supporting different major diamond hubs in the world such as the Israeli diamond bourse”, the importance of the 2015 MOU between Alrosa and IDE among others.

The IDE opened the new International Tender Center, which will host rough and polished diamond tenders under one roof, also a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the young generation forums of the Hong Kong Jewelry Manufacturers’ Association (HKJMA) and the IDE. Jean-Marc Lieberherr, CEO of the Diamond Producers’ Association (DPA), presented the strategic direction of their generic diamond marketing program targeting Millennials and activities of the DPA.
