Firestone Diamonds announces update on Liqhobong Diamond Mine project

Firestone Diamonds plc, announced that 85 percent of construction work was completed on its Liqhobong Diamond Mine project, as at the end of June 2016, reports say. The revised target of construction as set at 81 percent. The plant was 18 percent commissioned. The company has achieved these results surpassing its set targets, reports say.

The ramp-up to full production plans to be completed within the next six months and the company is targeting its initial production t begin in the last quarter of this year.

The company plans to achieve a production guidance of around 1.8 - 2.0 million tonnes and the first diamond sales in January 2017, reports say. There is a revised capital budget remains within the original project budget, reports say.
