Angola created a sort of record in year 2015 by producing 8,837,414 million carats of diamonds and earning revenue of over US$1.1 billion as per statistics provided by Geology and Mining Minister Francisco Queiros. The achievement is especially spectacular considering the fact of challenging conditions in the international market due to low pricing.

However, the total revenue earned in the year 2015 was slightly lower than the country had earned in 2014 from the sale of 8,750,892 carats of diamonds. In fact, the revenue in 2014 was US$1,308,137,899, which is slightly better than the last year.
