PC Jeweller signs MOU with Martian Watches for Smart Jewellery

PC Jeweller, a leading retail jewellery entity is encouraging its product portfolio to glitter in the ‘Smart territory’. It has recently tied-up with California-based Martian Watches – a developer of award winning smart watches, to launch a range of gold and studded ‘Smart Jewellery’, as per reports.

The two entities have entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for Technology, License and Services agreement, as per reports.

The smart jewellery will apply Smart jewellery device and App ecosystem. It is being targeted at women who appreciate technology as well as intend to make a style statement. With the smart additions to the jewellery, the pieces would offer creative interchangeable design options, and enable fitness tracking features like pedometer as per reports.

PC Jeweller intends to showcase its ‘Smart Jewellery’ at the Consumer Electronics Show 2016 at Las Vegas. The tie-up caused a 1 percent increase in the share price of PC Jeweller, reports add.
