Kalyan Jewellers opens second showroom in Pune

Kalyan Jewellers covered another feat in its expansion plans of operating 100 showrooms by end fiscal 2016, by opening its second store in Pune and its 86th in the country, reports say. With an investment of Rs 50 crore, and an encouraging consumer response received for its first Pune store, the jeweller opened the showroom in Pune’s Hadapsar area. Pune is situated within the west Indian state of Maharashtra, a region the company cites to be an key growth driver for its business and Pune to be one of its prime emerging markets in India, as per reports.

The showroom is spread over 10,000 sq ft, and offers a range of jewellery collections and design inspirations from across the country. Shoppers gain to select from contemporary and traditional gold and diamond designs. Within Maharashtra itself, which the company cites as a strong market, it has so far invested Rs 300 crore and expects to further grow within this region, as per reports.
