GJEPC signs MoU with APSSDC to promote skill in Andhra Pradesh

India’s leading gem and jewellery trade body – the Gem & Jewellery Skill Council of India (GJSCI) signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Andhra Pradesh State Skill Development Corporation (APSSDC), aiming to enhance education and training in the sector. The agreement was finalised at a special meeting and signed by Ghanta Subba Rao, MD and CEO, APSSDC and Binit Bhatt, COO, GJSCI.

The purpose of the MoU would boost gems and jewellery based training programmes in the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh with GJSCI, as per reports. Also, GJSCI would extend support to APSSDC in establishing skill development centres / multi-skill institutes to train and build capacity for the sector, as per reports.
