IDE President says 5th IDWI was beyond expectations

It was at a celebration attended by members of the Israel Diamond Exchange (IDE), Chief Rabbi of Tel Aviv Rabbi Israel Lau and IDE President Shmuel Schnitzer, President of the International Diamond Manufacturers Association (IDMA) Kobi Korn, Diamond Controller Shmuel Mordechai and President of the Israel Precious Stones and Diamonds Exchange Shlomo Eshed that Schnitzer applauded the participants of the 5th International Diamond Week in Israel (IDWI)having successfully concluded in Israel. The event was held between August 30-September 3.

Schnitzer noted the event turned out to be beyond expectations with good deals being clocked. He also spoke of the recent issued faced by the diamantaires who filed for bankruptcy and were reportedly connected to thefts and mentioned that the bourse is taking serious corrective measures towards this. The talk also highlighted the negotiations with tax authorities are expected to reach an agreement soon, reports say.
