Alrosa’s rough diamond prices fell 6% since beginning of 2015

Alrosa noted a dip in its rough diamond prices since the beginning of 2015. The prices fell 6 percent, reports say. There was a pattern in the price drop, with a 3 percent dip in February and a further 3 percent during Alrosa’s May trading session, as per reports.

The company expects improvement in market conditions towards the year end, reports add. Alrosa’s President Andrey Zharkov spoke at the 2015 Presidents’ Meeting, stating stability in current prices and the trading centres continuing to be important for the market, as per reports.
