Thailand approaches India for a handshake

Thai Commerce Minister mentions interest in cooperation, at IIJS

Thailand's Commerce Minister Krirk-Krai Jirapaet has urged India to cooperate with Thailand in furthering a mutual growth in the jewellery industry. Thailand, known for its gems and jewellery was competing with countries like India on low labour costs and government incentives. The Thai Minister addressed Indian jewellery companies at the 24th India International Jewelry Show (IIJS), to combine with Thailand.

Also, India's State Minister for Industry Ashwani Kumar urged Indian and international companies to leverage India's domestic market which is witnessing a growing demand for fashion jewellery.
