Second International Rough Diamond Week to be held in April

Leading diamond producing companies will feature their tenders at the second International Rough Diamond Week (IRDW) organized by the Israel Diamond Exchange (IDE). The Week will present rough diamond tenders by Alrosa, De Beers Auction Sales, Rio Tinto Diamonds, I Hennig/ Fusion Alternatives and Tzoffey's, reports say. The auction is slated from April 12-16, 2015.

According to IDE President Shmuel Schnitzer, the IRDW is a platform that brings opportunities of Israel interacting with global rough diamond producers and suppliers, reports say. According to him, the bourse is ‘consistently and continuously seeking to bring more rough supplies to Israel’. Also, he stated that ‘I have no doubt that via these initiatives and other efforts, we strengthen Israel's position as the world's most versatile and dynamic diamond trading hub. Rough diamond trading is an essential component of our industry's vitality’, reports say. The goal of the Week this year is to increase rough diamond supplies to the Israel diamond manufacturers, reports add.
