This landmark development not only formalises YD’s operations but also reinforces its mission to build a global, forward-thinking community of next-generation diamond professionals.

With a network of over 500 members across continents, YD is rapidly evolving into a dynamic force within the diamond industry. Their agenda is ambitious yet essential: to promote ethical practices, drive innovation, foster sustainability, and nurture leadership through collaboration and professional development. The new association model will allow YD to expand its impact while remaining rooted in values that resonate with the industry’s future.

The launch comes with the introduction of YD’s newly elected Board of Directors and Organizing Committee—two teams that will now steer the organisation through this exciting new phase. These individuals bring diverse experience and a shared passion for progress, ensuring YD’s vision remains bold, inclusive, and action-driven.

Newly Elected Board of Directors:
David Troostwyk, Elodie Daguzan, Melissa Smet, Mike Asscher G.G., Rachel Sahar, Shai Schnitzer, Kevin Vantyghem

YD Organizing Committee (YDOC):

The association’s launch in Dubai—a global nexus for trade and innovation—further reflects YD’s global outlook and readiness to tackle the evolving needs of the industry. As the diamond trade continues to embrace transparency, technology, and talent, YD is positioning itself not just as a community, but as a movement for lasting change.
