The highly anticipated Vicenzaoro September 2024, organized by the Italian Exhibition Group (IEG), is set to take place from September 6 to 10 at the Vicenza Expo Centre. This year’s edition has once again sold out, highlighting its status as one of the premier gold and jewellery shows globally.
A Bold New Layout, Eyeing the Future
Matteo Farsura, IEG’s Global Exhibition Manager for Jewelry & Fashion, emphasized the strategic foresight behind this year’s show. "With the demolition of halls 2 and 5, the international gold and jewellery show looks to the future. This transition, while challenging, will pay off, ensuring Vicenzaoro remains on the podium of global events thanks to its 70-year history."
As construction progresses on a 22,000 square meter hall, designed by renowned Hamburg-based studio Gmp, Vicenzaoro will employ three temporary halls until January 2026. These interim solutions will allow for continuity, ensuring the same number of exhibitors, despite the renovations.
A Showcase of Global Excellence
This year's event will feature 1,200 exhibiting brands from 35 countries, with 40% of the offerings coming from abroad, including Turkey, China, Hong Kong, Germany, Thailand, and Belgium. Italy’s renowned jewellery districts, including Arezzo, Valenza, and Campania, will be well represented, spotlighting the nation's craftsmanship and excellence. The event’s international scope is bolstered by a robust business matching program, supported by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and ITA (Italian Trade Agency).
Temporary Halls and Specialized Exhibitions
Despite the changes, Vicenzaoro promises an unparalleled buyer experience. Temporary Hall 4a will host the “Creation” community, showcasing jewellery producers. Semi-finished products and jewellery will be displayed in Hall 7a, while packaging companies will be in Hall 10. Hall 3.2 will prominently feature lab-grown diamonds, a growing sector in the industry. Meanwhile, fashion jewellery and contemporary watchmaking will be displayed in Hall 1 as part of the TIME community.
VO'Clock Privé: A Haven for Watch Enthusiasts
The VO'Clock Privé, running from September 6 to 8, will return as a highlight for watch aficionados. Located in Hall 8.1, it will offer enthusiasts, collectors, and connoisseurs the chance to preview new collections from major watch brands. Seminars featuring key figures in watchmaking will delve into the technical and historical aspects of the craft, further enhancing the event’s prestige.
Panels, Trade Associations, and Trend Insights
The event will also host panels organized by industry bodies, including CIBJO, Confindustria Federorafi, and Assogemme, among others. Additionally, the latest edition of IEG’s Trendbook, a forward-looking jewellery observatory edited by Trendvision Jewellery + Forecasting, will be unveiled, offering insights into contemporary trends.
VIOFF Off-Show and Citywide Celebrations
As part of Vicenzaoro’s 70th-anniversary celebrations, the show will once again collaborate with Vicenza Municipal Council to host the VIOFF off-show, blending gold, jewellery, and culture with citywide festivities.
With a sold-out exhibition and a clear vision for the future, Vicenzaoro September 2024 promises to be a pivotal event in the global jewellery calendar.
