Van Cleef & Arpels has introduced a new chapter in its emblematic Alhambra collection, unveiling transformable necklaces, reversible rings and an intricately crafted timepiece that reinforce the maison’s focus on versatility and technical mastery. First launched in 1968, the Alhambra motif — shaped like a four-leaf clover and framed with delicate golden beads — remains one of the brand’s most recognisable signatures and a longstanding symbol of good fortune within the luxury jewellery landscape.

Among the latest novelties, the highlight is a newly designed transformable necklace under the Magic Alhambra line, originally presented in 2006. Known for its asymmetrical arrangement of varying-sized motifs, the design has now been engineered with a detachable component that allows the piece to be worn in multiple formats, including as a long necklace, a shorter version or even as a bracelet. This level of modularity required extensive artistic and technical studies, from motif sequencing to the precise drape of each chain.

The new creations also explore refined material pairings and subtle visual contrasts. Retailers will note combinations such as rose gold with white and grey mother-of-pearl, and white gold with chalcedony enhanced by guilloché detailing — each selected for its luminous interplay with light and movement.

With these latest additions, Van Cleef & Arpels continues to strengthen the contemporary positioning of the Alhambra collection while reinforcing the maison’s heritage of craftsmanship and innovation.
