Trans Atlantic Gem Sales (TAGS) generated more than $16 million in sales at its latest rough diamond tender held in Dubai from February 16 to 20, 2026, with strong demand for larger stones driving the event’s overall results.
The tender presented a broad assortment of rough diamonds across multiple size categories and qualities, including a notable selection of stones above 5 carats, which attracted the most competitive bidding from buyers.
According to the company, over 100 companies attended the viewing and bidding process, with 46 buyers securing winning bids. Approximately 60% of the goods offered were sold, reflecting selective but active demand within the rough diamond market.
Industry interest was particularly focused on larger and higher-quality stones, which continued to command stronger competition compared to smaller goods. The results indicate ongoing demand in specific segments of the rough market despite broader challenges facing the diamond trade.
TAGS also confirmed adjustments to its upcoming tender schedule. A sale featuring South African production, originally planned for early March in Dubai, has been rescheduled to March 9–11 due to regional travel disruptions and flight cancellations linked to geopolitical tensions.
In addition, a separate tender of goods from the Zimbabwe Consolidated Diamond Company (ZCDC) is scheduled to take place from March 8 to 12, also in Dubai.
