Invited by India’s Gem & Jewellery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC), PureJewels joined the prestigious jewellery showcase to mark the historic signing of the FTA between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer on July 24. The event celebrated a deepening of economic and cultural ties between the two nations.
A member of the National Association of Jewellers (NAJ), PureJewels presented a curated selection of its signature collections alongside the six winning designs from India’s 2025 Artisan Awards.
“This was a proud moment for the British Asian jewellery community,” said Jayant Raniga, CEO of PureJewels. “To be included in the GJEPC showcase and to represent our shared heritage at such a meaningful event was an honour. We’re grateful for the opportunity to stand alongside the finest in Indian design and to demonstrate how tradition and innovation can thrive on the global stage.”
The East London-based jeweller exhibited six key collections, each deeply rooted in cultural expression and artisanal heritage:
Rosettes, inspired by global floral motifs, celebrated milestones and the beauty of life’s achievements.
Armari presented bold, sculptural designs symbolising fearlessness and strength.
Aiyna highlighted delicate mirror filigree work, evoking self-reflection and light.
Dhwani, a Goldsmiths’ Craft & Design Council (GCDC) award-winner, offered a multisensory experience through gold sound balls that gently vibrate, symbolising balance and stillness.
Maharani paid homage to regal femininity and transformation.
Vridhi, also a GCDC award-winner, expressed growth and ambition through symbolic design.
“We are delighted that Jayant Raniga represented GJEPC at the signing event,” said Sabyasachi Ray, Executive Director of GJEPC. “His longstanding contribution to the jewellery industry and his deep connection to both the UK and Indian jewellery communities made him a fitting representative.”
Marking its 75th anniversary this year, PureJewels continues to honour its ancestral roots in India and Africa, with an emphasis on responsible sourcing, craftsmanship in 22K and 18K gold and 950 platinum, and meaningful design narratives.
