Prada has launched its new Couleur Vivante fine-jewellery collection for 2025, strengthening its position within the global luxury jewellery segment. Co-designed by Miuccia Prada and Raf Simons, the line was unveiled across international markets this month, featuring a strong emphasis on colour-focused gemstones and contemporary forms.

The collection spans key categories including solitaire rings, rivière necklaces, line bracelets and drop earrings. Unlike traditional diamond-centred European maisons, Prada’s approach prioritises the “chromatic value” of gemstones, with a curated palette featuring amethyst, aquamarine, madeira citrine, morganite and oro-verde peridot. The designs incorporate geometric detailing and asymmetric structures that echo Prada’s signature triangular symbolism.

A notable element of the launch is its focus on transparency and provenance. Each piece is registered through the Aura Blockchain Consortium, providing end-to-end traceability of gemstones from rough sourcing to final polish. The collection also includes grading certificates from independent gemological laboratories to enhance consumer confidence — a growing consideration among global luxury buyers.

For retailers and distributors, Couleur Vivante represents further momentum in the colour-gemstone category, especially among younger luxury consumers who prefer expressive, individualistic jewellery over traditional heirloom styles. Industry analysts note that Prada’s entry reinforces the rising commercial relevance of non-traditional stones and modern design codes in the fine-jewellery landscape.

With Couleur Vivante, Prada continues to expand its presence beyond fashion and accessories, signalling long-term intent in the high-value jewellery market.
