Italian luxury jewellery maison Pomellato has inaugurated its first public exhibition, Le Joaillier Révolutionnaire (The Revolutionary Jeweller), at the Palais de Tokyo in Paris. Running until 20 July 2026, the exhibition coincides with the city's Haute Couture calendar and traces the brand's evolution since its founding in Milan in 1967.
Curated by jewellery historian Alba Cappellieri, the exhibition is organised around five themes that have shaped the maison's identity: craftsmanship, design, colour, image and women. Through archival jewellery, photographs, sketches and multimedia installations, it explores Pomellato's role in introducing prêt-à-porter fine jewellery and its emphasis on jewellery designed for everyday wear.
The exhibition also highlights Pomellato's long-standing collaborations with renowned photographers including Gian Paolo Barbieri, Helmut Newton, Herb Ritts, Michel Comte and Albert Watson, whose campaigns helped redefine the visual language of jewellery advertising by placing the wearer at the centre of the narrative.
Coinciding with the exhibition, Pomellato has unveiled Stile Libero, its latest high jewellery collection. The collection features one-of-a-kind creations inspired by the maison's signature use of coloured gemstones, sculptural goldwork and bold design language, reinforcing the brand's focus on craftsmanship and creative expression.
The exhibition reflects a broader trend among luxury jewellery houses of using museum-style exhibitions to showcase brand heritage, craftsmanship and design history while engaging consumers beyond the retail environment.
