Hosted by Karats Auctions, based near Minneapolis, Minnesota, the sale is being touted as the third-largest Johnny Cash personal property auction in history.
Titled The Cindy Cash Collection: Personal Property from the Life and Legacy of Johnny Cash, the auction has been curated by the late singer’s daughter, Cindy Cash. It features a wide array of memorabilia including handwritten letters, family photographs, furniture, pottery, figurines, and a notable selection of jewellery.
Among the standout jewellery pieces is a white gold ring from the 1980s, worn by Johnny Cash during his later career. The ring, set with approximately 1.50 carats of treated blue diamonds and 1.0 carats of white diamonds, is estimated to fetch between $20,000 and $40,000. Another highlight is a custom-made diamond and ruby ring belonging to June Carter Cash, expected to sell for $8,000 to $12,000.
Johnny Cash, known for his deep voice and prison concert performances, passed away in September 2003 at the age of 71—just four months after the death of June, his second wife and longtime musical collaborator.
The auction runs online from May 2 through May 12, giving fans the opportunity to own a piece of country music history tied to one of its most enduring icons.
