Ventura, a seasoned industry veteran with over 30 years of international experience, brings a wealth of expertise from his tenure at De Beers and Anglo American. At De Beers, he played a pivotal role in leading transformative initiatives such as the De Beers Auction Sales platform, the Tracr blockchain-based traceability system, Lightbox lab-grown diamonds, and the GemFair social impact programme for artisanal miners.

In his new role at DMCC, Ventura will offer strategic counsel on a range of initiatives across the Precious Stones Ecosystem, which is anchored by the Dubai Diamond Exchange (DDE). His responsibilities will include driving market development, promoting ethical sourcing and compliance, and enhancing global visibility to attract new stakeholders in both the natural and lab-grown diamond segments.

“Neil’s appointment reinforces DMCC’s commitment to innovation, transparency, and ethical practices in the global precious stones trade,” said a DMCC spokesperson.

Beyond his position at DMCC, Ventura also serves as an Expert Advisor to Boston Consulting Group (BCG) and as an advisor at Antler, a global early-stage venture capital firm, maintaining strong ties with the international innovation and startup ecosystems.
