Mikimoto introduced its latest high jewellery collections, Les Pétales and The Bows, at a showcase held during New York Fashion Week in February 2026. The event took place at Atelier M in Columbus Circle, New York, and was attended by international celebrities and fashion industry figures, including Uma Thurman and Paloma Elsesser.
The new collections reflect Mikimoto’s continued focus on elevating cultured pearls within the high jewellery segment. Les Pétales draws inspiration from the movement and structure of flower petals, incorporating Akoya cultured pearls alongside diamonds and coloured gemstones. The Bows revisits the brand’s signature ribbon motif, interpreted through contemporary high jewellery design techniques.
The pieces showcased featured a mix of traditional pearl craftsmanship and modern design elements, positioning the collections within the global high jewellery category. Notably, Uma Thurman wore a multi-strand necklace comprising 427 Akoya pearls set with a central tanzanite, highlighting the scale and material value of the offering.
The launch underscores Mikimoto’s strategy to strengthen its presence in the international high jewellery market by aligning with global fashion platforms. Participation in New York Fashion Week also reflects the increasing convergence between luxury jewellery and fashion, offering brands broader visibility among global consumers and industry stakeholders.
