The newly secured capital will be channelled towards expanding Limelight’s retail presence, enhancing its design offerings, and strengthening operational capabilities to maintain its dominant position in the burgeoning LGD sector.

Founded by Pooja Madhavan in 2019, Limelight has quickly established itself as a trailblazer in the lab-grown diamond jewellery industry. With over 30 standalone stores and 30 shop-in-shops across more than 35 cities in India, the brand has achieved rapid growth and wide market penetration. The company’s fully integrated business model is backed by two major industry players — The Bhathwari Group, the world’s largest producer of LGDs, and The Emerald Group, Asia’s largest jewellery manufacturer.

Capitalising on Market Trends

As demand for affordable and sustainable luxury grows, Limelight aims to align its offerings with evolving consumer preferences. With increasing awareness of lab-grown diamonds and their ethical and environmental advantages, the sector is seeing an annual growth rate of 15-20% in India.
