Limelight Lab Grown Diamonds has crossed 100 stores across 45 cities in India, with the company targeting 200 outlets by 2027. The milestone, announced during Dussehra, reflects the brand’s continued retail expansion amid growing interest in lab-grown diamond jewellery.

Headquartered in Mumbai, Limelight operates across metropolitan centres as well as Tier 2 and Tier 3 markets. Its product portfolio includes solitaires, everyday fine jewellery and statement pieces featuring lab-grown diamonds produced using chemical vapour deposition (CVD) technology.

Pooja Madhavan, Founder and Managing Director of Limelight Lab Grown Diamonds, said the milestone highlighted the potential of the lab-grown diamond jewellery sector in India. She added that the company was exploring opportunities beyond the domestic market, with the ambition of building a globally recognised jewellery brand originating in India.

The next phase of expansion will focus on strengthening the brand’s presence in existing and new domestic markets, alongside evaluating international opportunities. Karamjyot Chawla, Director of Retail Expansion, said the company’s focus extended beyond increasing store numbers to establishing Limelight as a trusted diamond jewellery destination in each market it enters.

The expansion plan comes as lab-grown diamond jewellery brands seek to build consumer awareness and establish dedicated retail networks in India. Limelight said its strategy centres on retail expansion, design development and consumer education to support wider adoption of the category.

The company aims to position lab-grown diamond jewellery as an accessible option within the broader jewellery market, while extending its retail presence in India and overseas.
