JGW September will bring together collections across gemstones, diamonds, pearls and finished jewellery when the event takes place across AsiaWorld-Expo and the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre in September. Organised by Informa Markets, the event will feature more than 3,000 exhibitors from 40-plus countries and regions.
Celine Lau, Director of Jewellery Fairs at Informa Markets, said seeing gemstones in person remains important for buyers, as colour and clarity can change under different lighting conditions. She added that the fair also allows buyers to identify emerging trends and products gaining attention.
The show will feature products across price points and categories, with collections spanning nature-inspired jewellery, fancy colour diamonds, coloured gemstones, pearls and everyday luxury.
Nature-inspired pieces include Johosa Jewelry’s conch-inspired brooch with cabochon opals and rose-cut fancy sapphires, Yue Ding Jewelry’s 18-karat gold brooch and earrings featuring spinel and tsavorite, and Hodel’s “The Royal Macaw” pendant featuring a South Sea Keshi pearl.
JGW September will feature fancy colour diamonds, including a platinum ring from LJ West Diamonds centred with a 5-carat pear-shaped natural chameleon green diamond. Antwerp Cut will showcase orange, blue, green and Argyle pink diamonds, while AV Globale will present a natural yellow diamond collection.
Coloured gemstone offerings will include Fei Cui from On Tung Company, Mozambique rubies from Veerasak Gems, Colombian emeralds from P.V. Gems and a natural, untreated cabochon sapphire weighing more than 60 carats from Sukhadia Stones.
Pearl collections will include South Sea baroque pearls from Hodel, Tahitian pearl strands from Uwakai Pearl, conch pearl jewellery from Mihara Pearl and golden South Sea pearls from Abhinav Gems.
The fair will also highlight “everyday luxury”. Zen Diamond will present its Pavé Collection, Fine Jewellery Manufacturing will showcase coloured gemstone rings, while MagicWire Asia will feature its “Samoa” bracelet incorporating shape-memory technology.
The GEM+ Conference on September 17 at HKCEC will bring together stakeholders from the coloured gemstone sector to discuss social commerce, Gen Z luxury consumption, leadership succession and sustainability.
The programme will also feature the NextGen Coloured Gem Excellence Awards by JWA and the Gender-Fluid Coloured Gem Jewellery Design Challenge. Winning student concepts will be transformed into fine jewellery pieces by EJI, with gemstones from RMC Gems HK.
“Sublime Shine 2.0: Metal Innovations in the Art of Jewellery” will return with interactive displays and live demonstrations, in partnership with the World Gold Council and Platinum Guild International.
Asia’s Fashion Jewellery & Accessories Fair – SEASONS | Autumn will run concurrently at HKCEC from September 16–20, featuring MODE by SEASONS and a focus on fashion accessories and design trends.
