Stockholm-based Epiroc AB has secured an order valued at approximately $20 million (MSEK 180) from Mopani Copper Mines Plc in Zambia for underground mining equipment. The order was booked in the first quarter of 2026.

The equipment will be deployed at Mopani’s Nkana and Mufulira copper mines to support production capacity and operational safety. Both mining sites have been in operation for nearly a century.

The order includes a fleet of Minetruck MT436 and Minetruck MT42 S haulers, along with Scooptram ST14 S and Scooptram ST1030 loaders. Epiroc will also provide service support for the equipment.

Delivery of the machines has commenced and is scheduled for completion by the end of 2026.

“Epiroc has a long history of delivering equipment and services to Mopani Copper Mines,” said Helena Hedblom of Epiroc. “We look forward to continue supporting Mopani to optimize their operations, this time with our advanced mine trucks and loaders.”

The order reflects continued collaboration between the two companies, with a focus on enhancing operational efficiency in underground mining environments.
