David Mann Jewelers has been a beloved local store with a history spanning over 70 years. David Mann initially worked in the food industry and began helping at his in-laws’ jewellery store in Geneseo on weekends. After his father-in-law retired, David decided to keep the store in the family, purchasing it and renaming it David Mann Jewelers in 1989. Under David’s leadership, the store became renowned for its welcoming atmosphere and commitment to fair, honest, and friendly customer service.
Throughout the years, David Mann Jewelers has been an integral part of the community, offering fine jewelry for special occasions and participating in various local organizations, including the Geneseo Rotary Club and Main Street Merchants Association. David Mann is also a long-time member of the Independent Jewelers Association (IJO) and Retail Jewelers Organization (RJO).
Reflecting on his career, David expressed his gratitude: "It’s been a pleasure to serve such terrific, caring, and kind people. The jewellery business is about celebration and making people feel good, and I’m very fortunate to have been part of that for my customers and their families for so many years."
In retirement, David plans to travel with his wife, Denise, and spend time with family, including their two children, granddaughter, and David’s mother-in-law, who still takes an interest in the store she and her husband founded.
