The collection includes a diverse selection of antique jewels and vibrant coloured gemstones from celebrated names such as Bulgari, Cartier, Gucci, and Van Cleef & Arpels. The collection will be displayed at Christie’s Rockefeller Center from 4th to 9th September.
Among the highlights are significant diamonds and rare coloured gemstones, with standout pieces including a No Reserve Diamond Ring, estimated at $300,000-$400,000, and a Colored Diamond Ring with a similar estimate. Two extraordinary Kashmir sapphire rings are also expected to attract considerable attention: an Art Deco Sapphire Ring, valued at $200,000-$300,000, and a Sapphire and Diamond Ring, estimated at $150,000-$250,000.
The auction will also feature jewels from several high-profile collections, such as the Nina Dyer Collection and Property from the Collection of Emily Sophia Harding. Notable pieces from Harding’s collection include a pair of Antique Diamond Chandelier Earrings, estimated between $20,000 and $30,000.
Adding a unique touch to the auction is a Cartier Colored Diamond and Jasper ‘Black Alley Cat’ Brooch from the Nina Dyer Collection. This striking piece, commissioned in 1962, features black jasper with marquise-shaped yellow diamond eyes and is valued at $15,000-$20,000. Dyer, a former model, was known for her extensive jewellery collection and her love for big cat motifs.
Another marquee item is the No Reserve Diamond Ring, featuring 8.88 carats, D colour, VVS1 clarity, and Type IIa quality, expected to draw significant bidding interest.
