Cartier has unveiled the first chapter of its latest high jewellery collection, Le Chœur des Pierres, during an exclusive presentation held in Saint-Tropez on the French Riviera on May 14.
The collection, whose name translates to “The Chorus of Stones,” features more than 125 one-of-a-kind high jewellery creations centred on exceptional gemstones, complex craftsmanship and transformable designs. The maison presented the collection through a destination-led luxury showcase attended by international clients, editors and celebrities.
The launch continues Cartier’s longstanding emphasis on coloured gemstones and artistic storytelling within the high jewellery segment. The collection incorporates emeralds, sapphires, rubies, coloured diamonds and rare hard stones across necklaces, brooches, rings and transformable pieces designed for multiple wearing styles.
According to international reports, the collection required more than 85,000 hours of craftsmanship across Cartier’s ateliers, reflecting the increasing scale and complexity associated with contemporary high jewellery manufacturing.
Several pieces in the collection draw inspiration from rhythm, movement and architectural symmetry, while others reinterpret Cartier’s historical design language through geometric settings and fluid compositions. The maison also highlighted modular and transformable jewellery formats, a category that continues to gain prominence within ultra-luxury jewellery collections.
The unveiling reinforces the growing trend among global luxury maisons to host immersive destination launches tied to high jewellery presentations. Such events increasingly serve as both private client experiences and strategic brand positioning exercises within the competitive luxury market.
For the wider jewellery industry, collections such as Le Chœur des Pierres also indicate continued demand for rare coloured gemstones and bespoke craftsmanship at the highest end of the market, despite ongoing global economic uncertainties.
