Haryana to set up Gem and Jewellery park in Rohtak

Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda announced that a Gem and Jewellery Park would be set up in the purposed Industrial Model Town (IMT) at Rohtak on the pattern of Gurgaon where at a cost of Rs 90 crore Gem and Jewellery Park was being developed.

This announcement was made by the Chief Minister while addressing the annual function of Goldsmith and Jewelers Association at Rohtak on Sunday.

The Chief Minister said that in the age of globalization only those country would surpass who would provide qualitative education to their students. He said that Haryana Government was doing persistent efforts to provide qualitative education to the students so that they could excel in the field of competition. A number of scholarship including Rajiv Gandhi and Ambedkar Scholarships Scheme had been implemented in the state to motivate the students.

Hooda said that Asia's largest EDUSAT system had been introduced in the state to impart qualitative education besides job oriented new courses had been introduced in the ITIs , Polytechnics and Engineering colleges. The budget of education had been increased upto 80 percent during last two years. Rajiv Gandhi Education City of international level was being set up in Sonepat district in which 25 percent seats would be reserved for the students belonging to Haryana state.

He sought the cooperation of the people in eradicating the corruption from the society. He said that during the previous regime patronage was being given to the criminals. While all the criminals had fled from the state. He also directed the police officers and officials not to harass the people rather they provide justice to the people. He sought the cooperation of the people so that state could be made number one in the years to come. He reiterated that the development of Rohtak would be ensured.

On the demand put up by the Goldsmith Association, the Chief Minister said that about providing land for construction of community centre would be considered only after applying for this. The Chief Minister also gave away the prizes to the students who had excelled in various fields.

Later, at a function organized by the industrialists of Rohtak, the Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda urged the entrepreneurs that they should work with more dedication and sincerity so that India could become a super power within next 10 to 15 years. He said that an industrial model town was being set up at Rohtak and he sought the suggestions from the entrepreneurs so that it could be made more viable.
