It is learnt that the jeweller is looking at locations including metro cities, towns and tier II cities for expansion. “Yes, we would like to expand and take the number of stores to around 40 in the next two years. We would put equal emphasis on company owned stores and franchise model ones,” Suvro Chandra, joint managing director, PC Chandra Jewellers, said, on the sidelines of opening a new showroom at Behala in Southern Kolkata, on Tuesday.
Aditi Rao, Bollywood actor and celebrity, was present at the new showroom for the inauguration. The showroom featuring a wide array of innovative, contemporary and modern designs from the Goldlites collection, exquisite diamond jewellery from the D’Elite collection and traditional wedding jewellery from the Wedding Collection, will be operational from June 5.
“PC Chandra Jewellers wants to maintain the momentum of its expansion and Kolkata is one of the important regions for the company,” added Chandra. When asked about the investment for the store expansion, Chandra said it is relative to the area. The company owned stores size up as big as 8,000 square feet (sq.ft.) and the large format stores could be around 5,000 sq.ft to 6,000 sq.ft.
The jeweller also announced its annual exhibition Swarna Mrigaya which would give discounts and assured gifts on the purchase of Rs 2 lakh and above.
At present PC Chandra Jewellers has a chain in Kolkata, Delhi, Bengaluru, Agartala, Bhubaneswar and many other cities in West Bengal like Siliguri, Asansol, and Malda among other locations. The showrooms offer a wide selection of gold and diamond jewellery and astral gems.
