Leibish & Co.’s natural coloured diamonds make a splash in Spain

Leibish & Co. one of the leading online natural diamond company has joint hands with department store chain El Corte Inglés, the fourth largest department store worldwide and Spain’s only remaining department store chain, which will sell Leibish & Co. natural fancy colored diamond jewelry together with Romanov white goods.

This project was celebrated with the grand opening Gala dinner in El Corte Inglés Castellana (Madrid) on April 10, 2013, where over 100 pieces of unique diamond jewelry was released under the brand name ‘Diamonds by El Corte Inglés’. This collection of jewellery is positioned to be sold across all 87 department stores, initially being launched in five branches: Castellana, Serrano in Madrid, Marbella, Valencia, and Barcelona. The event saw a gathering including major lifestyle publishing companies, and famous celebrities such as Sonia Ferrer and Cecilia Gomez, underlining the rarity and high value colored diamonds account for. Coloured diamonds account for just one in every 10,000 carats mined globally each year, as such making them much more rare and valuable than their colorless counterparts.

“These gems are the symbol of the fun and lifestyle”, said Leibish Polnauer, president of Leibish & Co. He continued to say that “Spain was the right country to present this collection because it is the country of joy.” He also asserted that “women went crazy by the fancy colors, whose intensity of color makes a world of difference.”

The company also announced a future launch of a a new diamond jewelry website under the joint brand name: El Corte Inglés Diamonds powered by Leibish, selling jewelry with colored diamonds. Furthermore, because El Corte Inglés sourced their inventory directly through Leibish & Co. in the Israel Diamond Exchange, as a result of no intermediaries, the prices will remain affordable.
