Blue Nile’s sales rise 21% in Q4

At the end of the fourth quarter, Blue Nile recorded a 21.2 percent increase in its sales to US$136.1 million. The company also noted that its net income rose marginally over last year to touch $4.9 million (it was $4.2 million in the corresponding quarter last year).

Sales of its non-engagement jewelry during the Christmas season dropped below expectations. Sales for the entire year 2012, rose 15 percent to US$400 million.
