Net profits at Rajesh Exports rise 45% in Q2

Rajesh Exports Ltd., a leading manufacturer of diamond and diamond studded jewellery achieved a 14 percent increase in its sales (y-o-y) at the end of the second fiscal quarter closing September 30, 2011. The sales valued $1.15 billion.

The entity is reported to have noted a good rise in its retail business which it attributes has contributed majorly to the 45 percent (y-o-y) increase in its net profits which valued $21.4 million, at the end of the said three months. Its current retail base encompasses 73 retail stores under the brand name Shubh Jewellers.

The quarter closed with outstanding orders worth $967.2 million and total expenditures rising 14 percent to $1.12 billion, as reports suggest.
