In the first half this year, Alrosa achieved rough diamond production of 19,326,200 carats, an increase of 1,735,900 carats from the same period in 2010. The mining giant’s sales of rough and polished diamonds combined valued $2.2 billion and contract sales rose $153.2 million over H1 of 2010.
net profit in the first half this year was up 4.1 times y-o-y to $760 million.
