DTC defines trends for 2006 with Diamond next

DTC introduced Diamond Next Trends 2006 on July 21, 2006 at Mumbai. The concept aimed at providing Indian women, trade and industry with latest and best in diamond jewellery designs. It’s an attempt by DTC at forecasting future and preparing the diamond world for it. Under Diamond next DTC brought together the best in the industry to conceptualize and create the latest trends in diamond jewellery design.

Inspiration and insights were provided by a panel of experts comprising of some of the biggest names in diamond jewellery-Queenie Dodhy, Farah Khan Ali, Sana Ali Khan, Maheep Kapoor. Four themes were introduced for the year namely- timeless nature, cultural criss-cross, circle of hope, pure passion, were shared with the design team of national award winning designers like Shruti Agarwal, Gunjanh Suri and Pallavi Dudeja Folley - really India’s best young lot of designers.

“With diamond jewellery industry growing by 20% year on year over the past four years and the increasing demand from women, the industry is bound to grow faster then before. We are hoping to continue the same rise in demand and expect to meet 19% increase standards this year. Today for the Indian women, jewellery purchase is an anytime activity determined by her moods, aspirations and her estimation of her self-worth. Diamond Next is our path breaking effort to fulfill the diamond dream of every Indian women,” said Cherie Saldhana, MD, DTC.
