Kirtilals, a world renowned manufacturer of jewellery has created a crown in 30 kgs. of gold, 35,554 round brilliant diamonds weighing 3,105.04 carats, for the Indian God - Lord Balaji. The task entailed 55 experts to work over eight months.

There are floral motifs and geometric lines that define the design sensibilities of the piece. A three-dimensional lotus at the base is the centerpiece of the design and the creative inspiration – that of pure knowledge and the creation of the Universe. An emerald of 816 carats highlights the lotus, on which geometrical patterns dotted with four-petal flowers fill in the centre and an ornate border of traditional flower motifs builds into a peacock feather.

The diamonds in the crown are Belgian cut diamonds, processed in-house and set according to the traditional manufacturing technique of closed setting.
