House of Voila launches ‘Beijing Dream’

The House of Voila unveiled its new collection of watches entitled ‘Beijing Dream’ at its soiree de Superstars event. The design is inspired by the ‘birds nest’ architecture of the national stadium. It is a delicate work of craft and expresses a commonality between architectural engineers and wristwatch engineers.

An inter weave of micro-steel bars have been expertly carved into an intricate mesh to preserve and protect the ‘time’ display. The 12 hourly markers within the oval dial are inspired by the stadium’s exit lanes with rows of spectator seats ascending over the center field. The 46 brilliant cut diamonds weighing 0.23carats set on its inner rim behave like the flood lights which would illuminate the stadium any event eve.

The watch is supported by a hand stitched Chinese silk brocade strap wrapped around in soft Italian calf leather. The collection is priced between Euro.1,490.00 ~ 2,190.00 and is available in Black, Silver & Champagne. It holds the property of water resistance upto 30 metres. Through this collection, Voila has sets new marks in design aesthetics.
