IIJS Signature garners positive response

9th edition of IIJS Signature concluded with increased footfall as compared to Signature 2015. The show was held at Bombay Exhibition Centre in Mumbai from 5th February to 8thFebruary 2016.

 The current edition of IIJS Signature 2016 along with 3rd edition of IGJME was inaugurated on 5th February 2016. Subhash Desai, Hon’ble minister for Industries, Maharashtra was the chief guest for the event, while Andrey Zharkov, President, ALROSA, Russian Federation was the guest of honour for the event. Other dignitaries present at the inauguration ceremony were – Manoj Dwivedi, Joint Secretary, Ministry of Commerce; Praveenshankar Pandya, Chairman, GJEPC; Russell Mehta, Vice-chairman, GJEPC, Saunak Parikh, Convener Exhibitions Sub-Committee (International) and Sabyasachi Ray, Executive Director, GJEPC.

 As the format of the show gives opportunity for networking and connecting with the potential buyers and suppliers; nearly all the exhibitors were satisfied with the number of new clients they could make during the show.

For gold segment, the first two days were very good in terms of footfall and business. Buyers from North, South and West were seen. Along with traditional designs, we spotted more of contemporary, light-weight and innovative designs were in demand in gold as well as studded jewellery segments. In the loose stones segment, all the sizes and shapes were in demand. The exhibitors who had innovative products on display received good response from the buyers. Retail chain store buyers were seen in good numbers at the show.
