The opening gala of the Paris Opera & Ballet marks the start of the season and gathers all the artists from the Ballet School and the Orchestra-under the leadership of Millepied. Every year, it sets the tone and heralds new developments and nominations, tracing a path to the stellar rank of étoile dancers.
“It” is the Opening Gala at the Paris Opera & Ballet, with which de GRISOGONO is associating in presenting a collection presenting its most iconic creations united under the evocative name OPERA. Several celebrities attended the event, including Benjamin Millepied & actress Natalie Portman.
Opening gala I – BALLET: The evening began with the first performance of CLEAR, LOUD, BRIGHT, FORWARD by Benjamin Millepied (choreography) and Nico Muhly (music), continued with a tribute to the 19th century works of George Balanchine and Marius Petipa, and ended with a procession of the Corps de Ballet. 18 étoiles, leading dancers, quadrilles, coryphées, sujets and apprentices of the Ballet School charmed the guests of the Maison de GRISOGONO to the sound of the Orchestra of the Paris Opera & Ballet.
