Jaipur has long been associated and revered for its offerings in gemstones and jewellery tradition. According to Nirmal Bardiya, Convener JAS-12 and the President, Jaipur Jewellers Association, the Pink City has successfully attained an image of one of the finest centres for Jewellery and Gemstones trade on the world map, and JAS (Jewellers Association Show) has played a significant role in establishing the same.

This year, the show will unfold with the theme – ‘Grandeur of Gemstones’. Rajesh Dhamani, Secretary Jewellers Association and the Member organising committee JAS-12, said that “The theme so chosen for JAS-12 well indicate & speak about the Grandness and importance of Gemstones in day-to-day life, by conveying & displaying the extent of impact and usefulness of the Gemstones”. JAS-12 would be presented in an all-new Glamorous and Flamboyant style along with the reflection of its glorious past. According to Bardiya, “JAS-12 now aims to further strengthen the ground for Jaipur Jewellery”.

The inauguration of JAS -12 is planned as a royal ceremony to be attended by leading jewellery and gemstone traders in Jaipur, ex and current office bearers of Jewellers Association, Jewellery designers, promoters, trend makers, pattern developers, various established and budding Jewellers, artisans and numerous others related to the industry.

According to Sanjay Kala, Spokesperson JAS-12 and Joint Secretary Jewellers Association, the success of previous presentations of JAS has inspired various new Jewellers and other core product suppliers and service providers for the Jewellery industry to participate in JAS-12. The bookings have increased 30 percent in JAS-12 over last year. The total floor area has been increased to 3000 sq. mtr. from last year’s 2300 sq. mtr., incorporating an additional dome for machinery and allied products apart from the other 5 domes- Diamond Hall, Emerald Hall, Ruby light Hall, Gemstone Hall and the Grand Hall. To encourage to Rough Stone Dealers this year separate booths has been allotted.

Kala added widespread support and help facilities for the visitors have been installed at the event location.

The show will host both B2B and B2C business opportunities. It will be a true one stop solution with buyers, visitors, traders, artisans, exporters and importers gaining from the show. Jewellery styles like Gold, Silver, Platinum, Mughalian Era, Rajputi, along with diamond, kundan-meena, coloured stone, Thewa, contemporary, fusion Jewellery and loose coloured Stone will be displayed at the show. Apart from this a large variety of rough Gemstones, Gemstones embedded articles, technology providers, Jewellery Skill training Institutions, laboratories, machines and tools suppliers, packing and display item vendors, trade publications stalls would be present in the show.

Special facilities have been developed for these B-to-B and B-to-C dealings including a dedicated Business Lounge. Daily raffle Draws and Mega Draw are also applicable on each entry Tickets. Gemmological Institute of America (GIA), has partnered with JAS-12 to deliver seminars on the topic “Treatment of Gemstones” along with workshops.
