The Antwerp Diamond Bourse -- de Beurs voor Diamanthandel is hosting a unique by-invitation Antwerp Diamond Trade Fair for select jewellers and diamond buyers. The event will take place at the 105-year old trading hall of the Bourse, between February 7-9, 2010. The purpose of this trade fair is to enable the Antwerp diamond community to move away from the conventional brand image of being represented at other international gem and jewellery trade fairs through the diamond pavilions organsied by the Antwerp World Diamond Centre (AWDC). Being the host event, the Antwerp Diamond Trade Fair will enable building a separate and stronger brand identity for the nation’s diamond industry.

"With the Antwerp Diamond Trade Fair, we aim to become part of the growing number of by-invitation-only events that specifically target high-end diamond, gem and jewellery buyers. We realised that we could only do so under our own brand – the brand of the Antwerp Diamond Bourse which has been operating for more than a century," said Raphael Rubin, a member of the Antwerp Diamond Trade Fair organising committee.

The trade fair will span three days, exhibiting 43 leading Antwerp diamond firms. The event is being sponsored by AWDC. Over 200 diamond buyers have been invited from across the European Community, some old timers and some new prospects. The event is being looked upon as a unique opportunity to network with the best the Belgium diamond community has to offer.
