The grand finale of National Jewellery Awards 2018 presented by National Stock Exchange-NSE, Powered by BVC Logistics and Trophy & Fashion Partner Swarovski Gemstones™ was held at Grand Hyatt Mumbai. The country’s most prestigious award that honours the work of designers and manufacturers in various categories was glammed up by the guest of honor for the evening Bollywood Star Malaika Arora!
Swarovski brand partner AMY Exports & Imports won the well-deserved The Bride's Pride (Gold Bridal Jewellery of the Year) Award for a marvelous necklace created showcasing the entire Kathakali Dance of India in gold set with Swarovski Zirconia stones. Mr. Sachu Rassak received the award from Malaika Arora-Bollywood Actor, Mr. Anantha Padmanaban- Chairman GJC, Convener NJA & MD NAC Jewels, Mr. Shankar Sen- Vice Chairman GJC, Committee Member NJA & MD Senco Gold & Diamond, Mr. Ashish Pethe- Co-convener NJA, COA GJC and MD Waman Hari Pethe Jewellers.
Mrs. Shakti Srinivasan- Joint MD, Emerald Jewel Industry was honored with the Women Entrepreneur Award for the year. She has been the biggest strength and support system in creating what Emerald is today. Her contribution has been consistent and impeccable. She has been an indispensable part in Emeralds designs, production, marketing and sales. Mrs. Srinivasan received the award from Mrs. Anantha Padamanaban, Mrs. Shankar Sen, Ms. Richa Singh- MD DPA, Mrs. Nirupa Bhatt- GIA The Awards night was filled with Glamour, Bling and Sparkle by Swarovski’s 2 spectacular Fashion Shows.
The 1st show was all about the women of today who like to wear a fashion statement for the next party they go for, Diosa Jewels showcased Silver Jewellery set with Swarovski Zirconia.
The 2nd sequence was a complete contract side of today’s women who deserves the best master pieces created especially for their wedding. Emerald showcased Gold Jewellery set with Swarovski Zirconia. The showstopper for the evening was the Bollywood star Ishita Raj Sharma who completely looked ravishing in a breathtaking piece by Emerald, truly a dream necklace for any bride. Both the fashion shows were directed and wardrobed by renowned fashion designer Archana Kochhar.
The honorable NJA Jury comprised of Ms. Queenie Singh (Jewellery Designer), Ms. Archana Kochhar (Fashion Designer), Ms. Poonam Soni (Jewellery Designer), Mr. Tarang Arora (Amrapali), Mr. Saurabh Gadgil (PN Gadgil); Ms. Nirupa Bhatt (GIA), Ms. Rashmi Desai (Actress), Ms. Madhura Naik (Actrss) and Ms. Manali Jagtap - (Fashion & Jewellery Designer brand) amongst others.
