On this occasion Shri Narendra Modi remembered and praised the leaders of land Late Shri Morarji Desai for progress of economy and Late Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel for changing the political thinking of modern India.

For the Gem and Jewellery Industry, he insisted to go for “Designed in India” alongwith “Make In India” so that traditional designs of Jewellery of India can be promoted and marketed in the world and for that, Gujarat has to lead,  not only in India but in the world.

“We have to create products that will attract consumers. We have to work towards marketing jewellery in a better way. Savjibhai Dholakia has expanded his business not just in Gujarat, but whole of India and internationally also, the rest of the industry should follow his path,” PM said.

Prime Minister’s visit to Israel in July will be a significant move for the industry. He will do so on his way back to India from the G20 summit in Hamburg. This visit to Israel will be a milestone in further strengthening the relationship both the countries share.

“After such a long time, I am meeting all the three generations of Hari Krishna Exports and it is my honour. Everybody must be thinking, I started early in the morning and I must be tired, but after seeing this family, all my tiredness has vanished,” the PM concluded.

The Hi-Tech Diamond factory will provide food to 50000 needy people at its NGO and will plant saplings of more than 20 lakh trees.
