International Gemological Institute (IGI) reported revenue of Rs 3,708 million for Q1 FY27, up 23% year on year, while profit after tax (PAT) increased 31% to Rs 1,657 million.

The company shared the results during a media meet held in Mumbai on August 3 as part of IGI Investor Day 2026. The session covered IGI’s business performance, growth strategy and future outlook.

Tehmasp Printer, Managing Director and Global CEO, IGI, delivered the welcome address, followed by a presentation by Eashwar Iyer, Global CFO. The company attributed the quarterly growth to performance across loose stones, jewellery and coloured gemstones.

“IGI has commenced FY27 from a position of strength, with Q1 consolidated revenue up 23% and PAT up 31% year-on-year. We remain confident of sustaining this momentum through the year,” said Printer.

The media programme also included a demonstration of IGI’s grading process at its Certification Studio. Participants were given an opportunity to experience the certification process, followed by a “Mines to Market” virtual reality presentation.

The Q1 FY27 performance reflects growth across IGI’s key certification categories, including loose stones, jewellery and coloured gemstones. The company said it remains focused on sustaining its performance through the financial year.

The Mumbai media meet formed part of IGI Investor Day 2026, providing an overview of the company’s financial performance and strategic direction for FY27.
