TrueDiamond Unveils the Kashi 108 Cut™, Blending Spiritual Geometry with Contemporary Artistry

TrueDiamond, India’s first Designer Rings Atelier, has introduced the Kashi 108 Cut™, a diamond cut featuring exactly 108 facets. Created in collaboration with Russian-born dancer and performer Chintamani Diana, now based in Banaras, the launch marks a rare convergence of jewellery craftsmanship, movement art, and spiritual symbolism.

Revealed on the ghats of Kashi during the festival of Dev Diwali, the collaboration pays homage to light, repetition, and focused intention. The number 108, revered across cultures and traditions, forms the structural foundation of the cut — echoed in prayer beads, meditative chants, and cosmic alignments.

“We’ve never done something that sits this close to art,” said Darayus ‘Zirak’ Mehta, TrueDiamond. “The Kashi 108 Cut was already about rhythm and structure. Chintamani brought it to life through movement — it’s not just a diamond anymore; it becomes a moment held in form.”

Each Kashi 108 Cut™ stone is handcrafted one at a time, with every facet calibrated to achieve geometric symmetry and depth. The cut promises sharper brilliance and a more balanced visual presence compared to conventional cuts, while retaining a deeply personal resonance.

As part of the launch, a campaign film conceptualized and performed by Chintamani depicts dance as a metaphor for the diamond’s geometry — movement transforming into stillness, repetition turning into meaning.

The debut release is limited to just 108 stones, each individually numbered and accompanied by a hand-signed maker’s certificate.

More than ornamentation, the Kashi 108 Cut™ is positioned as a quiet ritual for modern living — “something small to hold, while you hold your goals.”
