The remarkable piece, adorned with a 9.38-carat, square emerald-shaped, F-color, SI1-clarity diamond, fetched EUR 190,500 ($201,753) at the Fine Jewels & Watches: Milan sale last week, far surpassing its estimated value of EUR 80,000 ($84,726).

In total, Sotheby's garnered EUR 4 million ($4.3 million) from the two-week-long auction, taking place from October 11 to 25.

Another notable ring, featuring a step-cut Colombian emerald flanked by diamonds, achieved a remarkable EUR 165,100 ($174,853), more than tripling its estimated value of EUR 50,000 ($52,954).

A ring by Petochi, showcasing a cushion-shaped 3.58-carat Burmese ruby between step-cut diamond shoulders, sold for EUR 152,400 ($161,131), surpassing its anticipated upper estimate of EUR 150,000 ($158,594).

Sotheby's also successfully sold a Cusi ring with a cushion-shaped 3.93-carat Burmese ruby and epaulet-shaped diamonds for EUR 120,650 ($127,562), more than doubling its expected price tag of EUR 50,000 ($52,954).

A versatile jewel with a graduated flower design, featuring Colombian and Zambian step-cut emeralds and brilliant-cut and navette diamonds, could be worn as a bracelet, necklace, or detachable brooch, and it found a new owner within its estimated value at EUR 88,900 ($94,151).
