Jaipur-based jewellery manufacturer Pramod Kumar Agrawal has been re-elected as Vice President of CIBJO – The World Jewellery Confederation, for a third consecutive term, strengthening India’s representation in the global jewellery industry.

The re-election was announced at the CIBJO Centenary Congress held in Vicenza, Italy, on September 7, 2026. The CIBJO General Assembly also re-elected Dr. Gaetano Cavalieri as President. Agrawal will continue on the organisation’s leadership team alongside Vice Presidents Jonathan Kendall and Kenneth Scarratt.

Agrawal, Chairman of Derewala Industries Limited, takes on the renewed mandate at a time when the global jewellery industry is increasingly focused on sustainability, transparency, responsible sourcing, consumer confidence, technology and evolving international standards.

“I am deeply humbled by the trust placed in me once again. I see this responsibility as an opportunity to listen, learn and contribute to the industry collectively. India has an important role to play in the global jewellery ecosystem,” said Agrawal.

Agrawal’s CIBJO leadership is closely linked to his experience in jewellery manufacturing. Founded in 1987, Derewala has grown from a small manufacturing operation into a globally oriented, vertically integrated jewellery manufacturer combining traditional craftsmanship with technology, innovation and responsible manufacturing practices.

His continued presence in CIBJO’s leadership provides a platform for bringing the Indian industry’s manufacturing perspective to international discussions. India’s strengths across jewellery manufacturing, craftsmanship, gemstones, exports and design position it as a key player in the global jewellery ecosystem.

Agrawal’s third consecutive term also comes as CIBJO marks its centenary. The Centenary Congress in Vicenza brought together industry leaders to reflect on the sector’s evolution and discuss the opportunities and challenges shaping its next century.
